TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE USE OF PROMEDIA TEKNOLOGI INDONESIA ECOSYSTEM CONTENT FOR ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE COMPANIES

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become widespread in today’s era of digital information. In response to the growing development of AI technology, PROMEDIA TEKNOLOGI INDONESIA (PTI) and all media partners within the PTI Media Ecosystem have a mission to oversee the use of this technology in producing information for the public.

PTI and all media partners in the PTI Media Ecosystem aim to ensure that AI technology is used positively in society and follows the applicable journalistic rules and ethics in Indonesia.

To achieve this, all Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) companies must comply with the terms and conditions regarding the use of news and articles in media that are part of the PTI Media Ecosystem. The following are the mandatory terms and conditions:

A. Content Ownership

All content published by media in the PTI Media Ecosystem, whether journalistic or non-journalistic works, are the property of this media and PTI, and is protected by copyright law and other applicable laws in Indonesia.

B. Unauthorized Use

AI companies are strictly prohibited from using content produced by (1) this media, (2) other media that are part of the PTI Media Ecosystem, and (3) by PTI.

C. Misuse of Content

Any violation or misuse of these terms and conditions will result in legal action that can be taken by (1) this media and (2) PTI, including claims for damages and termination of access to the content.

D. Law Enforcement

The applicable terms and conditions are governed and adjusted by Indonesian law. The Indonesian Court will handle any disputes arising from these terms and conditions.

E. Permission Request

AI companies may submit a request for permission to use content produced by (1) this media, (2) media that is part of the PTI Media Ecosystem, and (3) by PTI. Permission requests must be submitted in writing to PTI and this media, containing detailed information about the use, such as the duration, purpose, and other important and relevant information.

F. Content Use License for AI

PTI may grant a license for AI companies to use content published by media within the PTI Media Ecosystem in the form of a written permit that includes, but is not limited to, the duration of the license, usage limitation, and compensation that must be paid to PTI and media that are part of the PTI Media Ecosystem.

G. Changes to Terms and Conditions

PTI has the right to change these terms and conditions without prior notice. If there are any disputes arising in connection with the terms and conditions made, they will be resolved in a competent court in Indonesia.
